Weak Signal ALES Contest July 24, 2016
The day started out cloudy and humid. With a chance of rain. 12 flyers and one worker came for the contest. Thanks to Bob Kane for bringing a computer and Dale Rupert having the program on a flash drive. Also thanks to Tim Wolf for being a worker instead of flying. I decided to set the task to 5 min. and graduated landing using the ALES tapes. We started flying approximately 9:30 AM with three rounds to be concluded by noon. With the threat of rain and occasional sprinkles we finished the rounds by 11:45 AM.
In order of finish: Bill Pandi first place
As I left the field and it started raining and continued for most of the afternoon.

13 flyers showed up on this sunny day, the breeze was out of the Southwest at about 10 to
12 mile an hour. We started at 9:30 AM and flew three rounds and finished at 12 noon.
As the morning progressed it started to get a little stronger breeze which made landings a
little more difficult. No airplanes were lost and we had a good time. My thanks to my
worker Mark Scheuer and Rick Letterman for bringing his computer and doing the
scoring. The first three contestants in order are Dale Rupert 1st Pl., Bill Pandi in second;
and Tim Wolff in third place.

The first place winner was Tim Wolff, second place was Dave Whitaker and third was Dick Peebles.
Rick Bork would have been a fourth contestant but managed to put his plane into the clubhouse on pre flight.
Sorry, no one took pictures.
