The Weak Signals RC club 521 is a proud member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA)

Our club was established in 1954. We have a rich history in the Toledo, Ohio area even though our flying site is actually just North of Toledo in Michigan.

Our members enjoy the many aspects of the flying RC hobby. Building, flying, competition, and the general camaraderie that goes along with the hobby. We fly sport planes, old-timers, sailplanes, ALES, pattern aerobatics, 3D aerobatics, helicopters, and quad-copters, gasoline, glow fuel, and electric. We also have a weekly sailplane league and ALES league where teams of members help each other build and perfect their skills building team points for the season bragging rights.

Help Needed !

  • All events will need helpers of some kind.

  • We need help planning and during the events.

  • Planning has already started for some of our events.

  • Please ask what you can do to help support the club.

We will be updating our club member e-mail contact list.

  • If you are not receiving the newsletter every month let us know. We may have an old e-mail address for you.

  • Let us know your phone number if there's a chance we don't have the correct number.

  • It's not a bad idea to get an emergency contact listed too.

The Flying Tigers and Maumee Valley Model Boat Club have invited us to their float fly events.

These are all-electric aircraft or boats only. We already had our first event at Olander and it was a great success. So with five more to go now is a great time to pick up an electric plane with floats or an electric boat and come out and enjoy the relaxing fun.

The times are from about 9:00 AM until about 3:00 PM.

All the events are FREE.

  • June 19th (Wiregrass)

  • July 10th (Wiregrass)

  • August 14th (Olander)

  • Sept 18th (Wiregrass)

  • Oct 9th (Olander)
